What a thrill to see Ken Matthews saddles. He brought one by to the studio. He has made them all his life. His father was a shoemaker, which sparked conversation between us at a local farmers market. He pops by every week to discuss leather work and other things, and also pass on tips for stitching techniques etc. Geek out!

Northcott Beach wanderings
Best little tea-room for miles. The owner Margaret is a real character - I only had 75p but she gave me a massive slice of cake to eat while I perched on the bank of the stream to read my book, with the words "life's not all about money is it". That's cool.
Another Pendeen car boot treasure : 'Heart, a personal journey through it's myths and meanings' by Gail Godwin. Of course she lives in Woodstock, New York.

Lovely light and lavender in Cornwall
Buckets of the stuff, I'm thinking of making some lavender hand cream / foot cream / body scrub; the list goes on.

Goldwork at the Royal School of Needlework
A recent Goldwork course at the RSN at Hampton Court Palace; what a treat. The work is nearly finished now, and absolutely satiates a thirst for obsessively tiny and time consuming hand work.

Take a walk with me.
Off we go.
Yey for the ducks! Glad they get help in winter.
Is this some kind of warning?

I sampled the courgette and beetroot which were very nice. : )
Waiting for Helen at the Sainsburys car park, didn't mind at all really.

First night
The first night in my new home. The sun dipped behind the trees as I approached along the coast, from Brighton. The brambles all along the road will be fruitful soon.
Some delicious Spanish smoked paprika with dinner.
Perched in the garden watching the sun go down. Good night.
